Skin Checks

Early Detection and Prevention of Skin Cancer
Thorough skin checks are available to help detect skin changes and early signs of skin cancer. Regular skin examinations are an important part of maintaining skin health, especially for those at higher risk.
Comprehensive Skin Examinations
Independent medical practitioners conduct full-body skin assessments to identify suspicious moles, lesions, or other skin abnormalities. Using their clinical expertise, they assess changes in size, shape, colour, or texture that may indicate potential skin cancers, including melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma.
Individualised Skin Health Advice
Based on the skin check findings, personalised advice is available on sun protection, skin care, and ongoing monitoring.

If necessary, referrals for further investigation or treatment, such as skin biopsies or excisions, can be arranged.
Why Regular Skin Checks Matter

Early detection of skin cancer significantly improves treatment outcomes and can be lifesaving. Regular skin checks are especially important for people with fair skin, a history of sunburn, excessive sun exposure, or a family history of skin cancer.

Medical practitioners encourage patients to schedule regular skin checks as part of their preventative health care.
